Eastwood’s consultants actively participate in the search process end-to-end. Our step-wise method can be tailored to match each client’s individual requirements.

MEETING WITH CLIENT

Eastwood will meet with the client to understand their specific needs, acquiring an understanding of their company information, culture and recent development. Then we will seek agreement with our client on the level of confidentiality, the time frame and the terms of the assignment.


DEFINING THE JOB BRIEF

We will proceed to discuss and agree on the details of the job opening with our client, including position title, responsibilities, job scopes, requirements and accountabilities, job objectives and organizational relationships. We will identify challenges, attractions and future opportunities, for qualified candidates to make more informed decisions.


DEFINING THE STRATEGY AND CANDIDATE SOURCING

We will design a formal task plan to facilitate the search for the right candidate. Our candidate sourcing includes:

Headhunting

We will source candidates from direct competitors and then similar or parallel industries of our client. We may also look at companies in the related supply chain. We will identify specific positions where potential candidates can be found and track down specific individuals who might be appropriate candidates.

Database search

Eastwood’s database is one of the strongest collections of qualified candidates in the industry. We find the most relevant candidates quicker and easier. With the help of our database, we can find the best hiring solution to meet your recruitment needs.

Advertising

We can access candidates who are active for job seeking by using online and print advertising.

Referrals

We successfully identified qualified candidates by the referrals from our candidates and it proves to be very effective to fill our openings.

TELEPHONE AND IN-PERSON INTERVIEWS

Getting to know the candidate ourselves is a critical step. We only refer candidates that are the most qualified and will potentially bring the most value to our clients. We conduct both competency-based and behavioral-based interviews. We will take steps to ensure that the submitted information relating to qualifications, experience and other information on the resume is accurate and sufficient. We will arrange written tests if required.

SHORTLISTING AND PRESENTATION OF SHORTLIST

We only present candidates that are not only able to do the job but willing to do it and who are going to be manageable. Expectation gap is carefully evaluated.


Our candidate report includes the candidate’s achievements and accomplishments; the impression of the candidate regarding strengths and weaknesses and our professional assessment of the candidate’s personal attributes and characters.

CLIENT MEETING WITH CANDIDATES

We will arrange candidate and client interviews, conduct interview follow-up and provide advice to our client. For the candidates, we will conduct debrief and get feedback from them.

PRESENTATION OF OFFER

We will participate in the formulation, presentation and negotiation of offers. Importantly, we manage the expectations of the candidate.

REFERENCE CHECKING AND CLOSING

Before confirming employment and the start state, we will conduct reference checks and submit reports to our client. We will offer advice to unsuccessful candidates.
